An extremely funny cartoon by "Pont" (Graham Laidler (1908-40)) lampooning the disinclination and inability of British people to talk to one another. A group of diners in a restaurant are doing anything other than talking. They read; play cards; sew; play noughts-and-crosses; juggle etc - but they do not speak! One of "Pont's" 'British Character' series, perhaps his most famous cartoons.
Beautifully presented, framed and glazed.
