Originally designed by Warhol for the artist's "Ads" portfolio in 1985, Chanel used the image under licence in 1997 for use in a advertising campaign. This A2 poster was issued in a limited edition to accompany the purchase of a bottle of Chanel No.5. The image exists in four colourways: Green/Blue (as here); Red/Pink; Black/Blue and Purple/Yellow.
The poster is from the 1997 retail promotion and, importantly, bears the correct publication line as such.
