Silver plated picnic sandwich box. A very nice quality example by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield (one of the better makers). Well engineered lid with a double hinge, opening out amost flat. Carrying handle at the side.
In good condition, very small dents to one side and one corner. Light surface wear. The plate in good shape with a few speckles. Gilt washed interior with some signs of usage as expected, but all-in-all a bright, intact and highly practical example.
