Attractively presented 'homages' to Château Margaux and Château Mouton Rothschild (including a facsimile of a label for the 1949 vintage).

The particular year chosen for the Château Mouton Rothschild label has attained near legendary status and is widely viewed as being one of the best vintages of the 20th Century. The image on the label was designed by Parisian painter André Dignimont (1891-1965) who chose a relatively conventional depiction of bottles and glasses within a grapevine border and a banner with the 1949 vintage year written upon it. The bottle number here "07,916" appears in various other printed depictions and is not unique.

Amusingly, a near identical set of these prints appears on the wall in the famous "Yuppy Love" episode of "Only Fools and Horses" where Del Boy visits a trendy yuppie wine-bar in the Docklands only to embarrass himself! A scene often voted as one of the funniest moments in television sitcom history. An interesting talking point when discussing these items!

Though a pair, there is a difference between the colour of the frames and the rebates on these prints.
