A vintage set of the 'Great Pan' paperbacks with their distinctive early illustrated cover designs. With the success of Dr No at the cinema in 1962 (the first movie but the 6th book), the covers began to swiftly develop on subsequent editions.

Casino Royale - 10th Printing, 1962, (Priced at 2'6) - Good copy, slight bump to top corner, spine tanned
Live and Let Die - 9th Printing, 1963, (Priced at 2'6) - Good copy, biro mark on frontispiece, spine tanned
Moonraker - 11th Printing, 1963, (Priced at 3'6) - A very good, near fine copy
Diamonds Are Forever - 10th Printing, 1963, (Priced at 3'6) - Water mark on the fore-edge
From Russia With Love - 7th Printing, 1962, (Priced at 2'6) - Slight crease on top left of cover
Dr No - 2nd Printing, 1960, (remnants of Pan's official yellow price label on Cover) - Biro number on front cover, split in text block between pages 78/79, roll to the spine.
Goldfinger - 4th Printing, 1962, (remnants of Pan's official yellow price label on Cover) - Slight bash to the bottom of the spine, neat rectangle of paper cut from frontispiece (1.5 cm x 6 cm), presumably to remove a former ownership inscription (but no loss of text)
For Your Eyes Only - 4th Printing, 1963, (Priced at 3'6) - Slight bash to the bottom of the spine, edges tanned, slight crease to top right corner of cover, neat biro ownership inscription on frontispiece.
A very acceptable, characterful and attractive set of the very early Bond paperbacks, which are becoming increasingly scarce.
