A very attractive Art Nouveau wall plaque or tray, cast in low relief with a scene of the goddess Diana and her entourage of four attendants with dogs, hunting a stag. Original patinated pewter finish with contrasting raised polished silver highlights.

The design appears on p.316 of the 1906 WMF catalogue as model no.250 "The Hunting Party of Diana". Marked verso with the cast design number 250 and stamped with various marks on the reverse of the left handle. Fitted with a loop for suspension and also with four feet for use as a plaque of tray.

Good condition. Stamped marks slightly indistinct. Very slight split to the metal and slight detachment of the 'swirl' to the left.
