A fine early 19th Century hand-coloured image of this historic Oxford view, with the High Street being carried over the river at Magdalen Bridge, with an academic in a mortarboard hat a carriage crossing  to the left and a punt on the water beneath. The tower of Magdalen College Chapel being the prominent central feature.

A well presented impression of this attractive print, published for Ackermann's celebrated "History of the University of Oxford".
