Lettered with the artist's details "Drawn by R. Hill. // Engraved by A.M. Huffam" and with the title in open letters.

Huffam was a line engraver, mezzotint artist and lithographer active between 1825 and 1859. Apparently born around 1806 in Edmonton, near London. He exhibited three plates at the Society of British Artists between 1828 and 1832, and executed plates after Herring's "Sketches on the Road" (1845-1847). He also produced royal portrait prints and reproduced works by Edwin Landseer and Agostino Aglio.

In wonderful 'country house' condition. Retaining its original and completely authentic William IV dark mahogany veneered frame with a gilt slip, original bubble glazing and brass watch top hanger. Attractively toned with age, light discolouring and staining.
