From the edition of 100, as included in the portfolio '14 BIG prints' published by Bernard Jacobson, London in 1972.
Two Whiting is a large-scale screenprint which formed part of the portfolio 14 BIG Prints, published by the Bernard Jacobson Gallery in an edition of one hundred, with an additional fifteen proofs.
Measuring over 1.5 metres wide and 1 meter tall, "Two Whiting" is one of the largest prints Caulfield produced. Rendered in the artist's distinct style, the unusual oval format of the image recalls Cubist still-life compositions and the subject-matter is particularly evocative of the work of Georges Braque (1882–1963).
