A typically light and airy, plein-air watercolour showing the strong influence of Philip Wilson Steer. Probably dating to the mid 1930's. The artist moved to Cholmondeley Lodge, Richmond, Surrey, in 1932 and painted numerous works of the banks of the Thames from the balcony of his house.
