Lettered beneath the image with the text "The true and lively Portraiture / of the Honourable and learned . Knight Sr Walter Ralegh." and in the oval around the portrait "VERA EFFIGIES CLARISS^MI VIRI DOM^NI GUALTHERI RALEGH EQV AUR. etc"

Similar to the plate used in 1617 as the frontispiece to the 3rd Edition of Raleigh's "History of the World" but, seemingly, separately published.
