Minton Pottery, Stoke-on-Trent
Staffordshire, England
Impressed marks for 1868

Measures:
Soap Dishes: (Each) 12.9 cm diameter x 8 cm high
Toothbrush Box: 20 cm long x 9 cm wide x 6.5 high

Transfer printed in puce with an interlocking Gothic quatrefoil design, the borders and highights to the handles hand-painted. Marked beneath with various impressed marks including "Minton / BB", manufacturing year mark of elongated "G" symbol for 1868 and the painted pattern number "D785 m." All retaining their original lids and the soap dishes with their original strainers.

A beautiful and usable set of items which offer a neat and eminently practical solution for what to do with soaps, toothbrush heads and razors in a period bathroom.

It is increasingly hard to find attractive examples of toothbrush boxes which retain their original lids and very unusual to find one en suite with matching soap dishes.

Generally in excellent condition. Some age related crazing to the glaze and craquelure to one soap dish strainer.
