An interesting wall plaque in the form of a cast fragment of a flower garland, taken from a lost 18th Century London interior. A label verso reads:-

24 Portman Square was originally designed by Robert Adam in the 1770's. It was demolished, like many other  properties on Portman Square, in the 1960's. The building had various illustrious occupants during its time, including Thomas Robert Hay-Drummond, 11th Earl of Kinnoull (1785-1866); William Earle Lytton Bulwer (1799–1877); Augusta Hall, Lady Llanover (1802-1896) and Charlotte Louisa Hawkins Dempster (1835–1913).
