An original George III copperplate engraving of an interesting historical view across London with St James's and Westminster from what is now Charing Cross. The image is based on a drawing by Wenceslaus Hollar (1607-77), now in the Royal Collection (RCIN 913264). The fields in the foregound occupy what would now be Trafalgar Square. Various buildings are identified with a numbered key beneath.
