An attractive vintage Italian white glazed pottery centrepiece compote. With its grotesque dolphin supports this shape is clearly modelled on 19th Century neo-classical European forms, especially those in silver. Underglazed "ITALY" stamp to the foot with a printed retailer's label for "Dal Pra Mario R Ereid Dal 1600 DP Nove (Vicensa) Tel 82001".

Good condition. General craquelure to surface as typically found on pottery of this type and era.
